I met you but not in a dream
Nothing like this happens to me
How can this be real?
You’re perfect but flawed
In all the ways I need you to be
You make me smile
When I feel I can only frown.
In a perfect world it’d be you and I
But this world isn’t perfect nor will it ever be.
It could have been you and I
In a wonderfully amazing way
But you are taken and content
And so am I.
There is no you and I in this world
So why then do I try
Try to make something real that cannot be real?
And then it hit me
We don’t need to be together in this world
We’ll create our own
Where it can just be you and I
No one to keep us apart
No rules to be followed
It’s just you and I
And whatever we make of our world
But we’ll keep it our own little secret
Just between you and I
Because if there can be no us in this world
I as least want there to be a you and I somewhere.

A Love Too True to Be True

I’ve been looking for you my whole life.
Trapped like a bird in a cage.
Unable to search too far.
Then the time came and I met you.
And I grew to love you
Every day I talked with you
Even though I had never seen you.
And when I finally did
I knew it was meant to be.
Knew I had found the one
The one I would spend the rest of my life with;
The rest of eternity with.
I found what I had been searching for:

The Wait

The wind blew through the trees
The leaves fell softly onto the ground
The petals of my rose gently rippled
Many memories came back to me
I wondered where you where
Where had they put you?
I could only sit upon my stone
Until I felt your presence
I looked up from my rose
And I found you standing there
You smiled as I smiled
And I understood why I had stayed
You lifted me off that meaningless stone
And walked me to the gate
I was no longer afraid of leaving
Because I knew that we’d be together
Before I felt as if I’d lose you forever
To someone else unknown
But now that you are here with me
I feel young once again
We travel the road of light
And I no longer worry
I know that where we are going
We will last together forever

Surrounded by Happiness, In Loneliness

Surrounded by acquaintances
Laughter and bright gleaming whites
Lighted joy
Worry free lives
Daisies dancing on the wind.
Yet a shadow grows
Blocking it all out
There but not
Felt but unseen
Rain running down the windows glass
Unable to move
Unable to advance
Twisting and writhing
Someone save me!
Enveloped in darkness
Slipping away
Laughter without sound
Smiles of misunderstanding
Impassive emotions
Hidden in darkness
A candle lit with fire
One small breeze
And the darkness has won.
